Our client wanted a custom-made garden shed and a new outdoor sitting area. The garden walls were not quite square, so a rectangular or square shape for the shed would have left a gap between the side fence and the side wall of the shed.

• We set up two areas across the width of the garden, one for the shed and one for the new sitting area.
• We laid down a concrete slab base in the shape of the shed.
• For the shed walls, we used timberframe walls with shiplap cladding for the visible(front and garden)
  sides of the shed, and corrugated steel for the back and fence side, as there is no access for maintenance there.
• We used earth-wool insolation and soundproof plasterboard for the internal walls and ceiling.
• For the floor, we installed foil between the timber battens and finished with OSB (smartply) and lino.

The result is a lovely little cosy corner for outdoor sitting and relaxation beside an attractive shed that harmonises beautifully with the material and colour of the fencing.

Our family really needed a new garden and shed to maximise best use of our modest garden space, which was not a standard shape. We met with Alin and he listened to our needs and suggested a bespoke design that was both pleasing to the eye but very practical for our needs.
